Give Thanks
OK so I am a little (maybe way) behind, but working on getting up to date. I have been so busy getting ready for card classes i haven't had a chance to log on and show you what i have created.
But i hope you think it was worth the wait.
Isn't this great!!! My creative muses have been hard at work inspiring me. I love Autumn leaves and so every year I use leaves on my Thanksgiving Cards so of course i was looking for a new way to use leaves. I took scraps of fall colored paper and got them wet crunched them up then let dry. Then Flattened them using my ribbon iron so they would fit in the mini green Marvy Green Oak Leaf punch. Then using my Marvy 2½ and 2 inch punched i made a ring to mount the leaves to make this Wreath. Using my Marvy rectangle scalloped punch I created a mat and then on a light color I stamped my Thanksgiving Sentiment.

Button Button whos got the Button
Doesn't this card just make you happy looking at it? I started with a prefolded Orange card too a scrap of colorful paper left over from a scrapbook page. took a scrap of yellow paper that i cut about 1½ inch larger the colorful scrap. took my Fiskars loopy border punch and punched a border on both sides of the yellow paper. I glued the colorful paper on top of the yellow then I picked 5 coordinating buttons and attached them with different color craft thread. I stamped happy birthday on a tag and attached. I used a stamp to create the cup cake and after i colored it in I applied Marvy puffy paint as the frosting and heated to make it look like real frosting. I used a popup to mount the cupcake on a square of paper in a contrasting color and then used another square of a different color as a mat. For the inside i used a simple Sizzlit Happy Birthday cut and a Sizzlit balloon die. I cut the Ballons out of scraps of matching paper and then glued to a piece of chipboard i cut from the same die. I applied some "InKissentials" Glossy accents to the balloons and let it dry. 15 minutes start to finish and I used scraps and some of those hundreds of buttons (the ones i kept buying because I thought they were cute but never used) to make this great birthday card.
Tip of the Day 4; If you have some paper or embellishments you bought because you liked them but you just don't see you using them on a scrapbook page make card with it. We loved it when we bought it so that special scrapbooking friend will love receiving a card with it on it. Stop hording those embellishments. Challange your self to use something you have been saving. Don't for get to read the other Tips for the day!!! .

A Stitch in Time
I created these baby cards using stitching to add as soft precious look. The design is simple but does take some time.
This one uses 4 blocks of color that i just poked holes around the edges and did a back stitch all around them, then in the middle is punched the shape of the letters in the center of the block. I used a back stitch here also. I added the Giraffe i cut from a Sizzix Die put a with ribbon around his neck it made the perfect accent on this card.
The second card is so easy and simple but it still has apeal because of the stitching. I stitched (baclstitched) the word baby on 4 small Squares (i used the smallest square from Creative memories square punch duo. Then i attached them to 4 larger squares (The larges square from my large Creative Memories square punch) after i attached to the paper i did a zig zag stitch all the way around and accross the center.
Tip of the day 3; Use a template to poke the stitching holes it makes sewing easier and you have less chance of tearing your paper. I had my husband drill holes in a small flexible clear ruler to help in keeping my hole some what uniform in spacing but you don't want it too perfect..

I Love Mom
Once again this is really simple but I just love it. Starts with the paper Joann's Crafts Core'dinations this stuff is great a marble look on one side and solid on the other. I ran it thru my Cuttle Bug embossing folder then lightly sanded the
pattern to bring out the embossed look. Using my Marvy Mega scalloped square punch I punched white square, then using my Marvy Giga Scalloped square punch I punched from the same Core'dination paper a square. After stamping and coloring my image i glued them together. I cut from same paper as card, the flourish and Love using my Sizzlit Flourish 3 and my Sizzlit Love dies. Put it all together and Poof less then 30 minutes i can let Mom know she is important to me.
Tip of the Day 2; Create the face of cards ahead leaving off the image then you can quickly create a card when ever you need it by simply adding the image. Be sure to check out Tip of the Day 1.

I Love Daisies Birthday Card
Ok i love card making but i Love showing off my creations and showing others the things i learn (Thanks Karen for all the great ideas. So i am going to try to start posting so others can share in my love. PS I sell my cards too.
This card is so simple yet anyone would love to receive. I stamped image on plain white and highlighted with just a little color. Cut block a little larger then the plain white to highlight and make the image pop. The flowers are my Marvy Daisy punch 2 sizes. (my favorite flower is the daisy, their happy flowers) What i did here was punched 2 of each flower out of white card stock, then stacked alternating the petals to form a solid flower. Glued then together then took Marvy Puffy Velvet Fabric Markers to add the Yellow center to the flower. I used my Tim Holds Distress Ink "Antique Linen" to hightlight the tips of some of the petals.
Tip of the Day; When your feeling Crafty ;) but don't know what to work on, make up stamped images and color ahead then later they will be ready to use for a card you create.
